After TSMC implemented a low-energy-consumption pipe heating system in the year 2025, it successfully saved 80 million kWh of electricity annually, significantly improving energy efficiency. However, during the implementation process, they discovered frequent breakage of the heating wires in the Heater Jacket system, especially during installation. This not only caused system blockages and overheating but also posed a potential fire hazard. This issue has presented a significant challenge to the stability of the production line, product quality, and factory safety. Therefore, finding a solution to ensure the long-term stable operation of the equipment has become a key focus for TSMC’s Heater Jacket system upgrade.
To address this challenge, TSMC's heater jacket manufacturer partnered with GoodGi and, with the support of our professional team, successfully developed an improved version of the heater jacket system. The heating elements, fiberglass sleeves, and cable glands provided by GoodGi are all high-quality, in-house manufactured products. Through meticulous design, the combination of these components significantly enhanced the stability and durability of the heater jacket system, effectively solving the issues of heating element breakage and overheating.
Heating Wire Characteristics GoodGi’s heating wire features a spiral woven structure, an alloy conductor wrapped in fiberglass and an outer layer of fiberglass and silicone insulation. This design provides excellent high-temperature and high-voltage resistance, preventing heating wire breakage and ensuring even heat distribution.
Conductor GoodGi exclusively uses Japanese-made conductors for its heating wire, as Japanese conductors are known for their stable impedance and consistent quality. This selection helps extend the lifespan of the heating wire and reduces the risk of wire breakage.
Fiberglass Sleeve Protection GoodGi’s fiberglass sleeves offer high-temperature resistance, flame retardancy, insulation, and wear resistance. These properties effectively protect the connection points of the heating wire, thus extending the system's operational lifespan.

Depending on factors such as the wire gauge and bend radius, the heating wire can withstand temperatures up to 400°C for short periods. For long-term use, it is recommended to keep the temperature below 350°C.
