Waterproof Y-Type Corrugated Tubing Fitting IP68

GY-AD

Product Introduction

When internal machinery routing space is tight, a T-type fitting's 90-degree outlets can conflict with adjacent components or panel walls. The GY-AD's Y-type design gives the two branch outlets a natural angle — allowing cable routes to splay diagonally toward different targets without fighting the geometry of a cramped enclosure. Combined with IP68 dynamic sealing, the GY-AD holds its waterproof integrity even when the corrugated tubes are under tension or being pulled during machine motion.

Built from halogen-free UL94V-2 PA66 nylon with EPDM seals. Static operating temperature -40°C to 100°C, dynamic -20°C to 80°C. Standard colors black and grey; custom colors available.

Key Features

  • Y-type angled branch outlets: Two outlets at a natural angle — better fit for space-constrained or lateral cable routing than T-type 90° outlets
  • IP68 dynamic seal: Waterproof integrity maintained even under tube tension — reliable in mobile automation equipment
  • EPDM weathering seal: Water and oil resistant; customizable for chemical, cold, or high-temp applications

Application Scenarios

Mobile Automation Equipment

Y-type angled outlets let cables splay diagonally toward different sensors or actuators — a better fit for space-constrained machine interiors than T-type 90° branching.

🔧

Machinery & Control Systems

IP68 dynamic sealing holds under machine motion. Suitable for internal cable protection in environments with coolant fluids or lubricating oil exposure.

Outdoor & Oil-Exposed Environments

EPDM sealing provides water and oil resistance with IP68 airtight protection for outdoor power systems or flexible branch wiring in wet environments.

FAQ

Q1|What is the difference between a Y-type and a T-type fitting (GT3-AD)? When should I choose Y-type?

The T-type (GT3-AD) has two outlets at 90 degrees to the inlet — suited for straight-line branching. The Y-type (GY-AD) has two outlets angled in a Y shape, which works better in space-constrained layouts where the straight 90° geometry doesn't fit, or where cable routes need to splay slightly rather than branch at a right angle. Both carry IP68 protection — the choice depends on the routing space and the angle at which the cables need to exit.

Q2|Does the GY-AD maintain IP68 protection when tubes are pulled or under tension in dynamic applications?

Yes. The GY-AD uses a specialized seal structure that maintains airtight integrity at all three ports even when the corrugated tubes are subject to external tension. This is the core advantage for mobile automation applications — the IP68 rating remains valid from static to dynamic operating conditions.

Q3|Must all three ports use the same corrugated tube size?

The GY-AD is typically an equal-bore design with the same port size at all three openings. If you need a combination with different tube ODs across the ports, contact our sales team to discuss custom or special model options — provide the required tube OD for each port to confirm feasibility.

Q4|Can the EPDM seal handle oil-contaminated machine environments?

EPDM provides basic resistance to mineral oils and cutting fluids for general machining environments. If your environment involves strong solvents, hydraulic fluids, or specific industrial chemicals, specify the exact media to our sales team. Alternative seal materials such as NBR or FKM may be more appropriate depending on chemical compatibility requirements.

Q5|How do I confirm the correct tube size and model for GY-AD?

Refer to the engineering drawing on this page and check the thread hole diameter (d value) to confirm your corrugated tube OD falls within the fitting's applicable range. If you also need to verify that the Y-type fitting physically fits within the available space inside your equipment, provide equipment dimensions or a layout drawing to our sales team for installation feasibility confirmation.
