Waterproof T-Type Corrugated Tubing Fitting IP68

GT3-AD

Product Overview

Waterproof T-Type Corrugated Tubing Fitting IP68

Mobile automation equipment — AGVs, robotic arms, and moving machinery — demands cable branching at points that are constantly in motion. A failed seal at the junction means downtime. The GT3-AD solves this with a T-type branch design that delivers IP68 waterproof protection across all three ports, and maintains that seal even when the corrugated tubes are under tension or being pulled.

Built from halogen-free UL94V-2 PA66 nylon and EPDM weathering rubber, the GT3-AD handles -40°C to 100°C static and -20°C to 80°C dynamic operation. Standard colors are black and grey; custom colors available on request.

Key Features

  • T-type branch wiring in one fitting: One-in two-out without a junction box — cleaner cable management
  • IP68 dynamic seal: Seal integrity maintained even when corrugated tubes are pulled or under tension
  • EPDM weathering seal: Water and oil resistant; customizable for chemical, low-temp, or high-temp applications

Application Scenarios

Mobile Automation Equipment

AGVs and robotic arms need reliable branching points that stay sealed in motion. The GT3-AD's dynamic IP68 design means the seal holds even as the corrugated tubes flex and get pulled during operation.

🔧

Machine Cable Routing

Split one cable run into two with a single fitting — no junction box required. Reduces wiring complexity and saves space inside machinery enclosures.

Outdoor & Oil-Exposed Environments

EPDM seals provide water and oil resistance for outdoor power systems, washdown machinery, and other environments where branch points need full IP68 protection.

FAQ

Q1|What is the difference between a T-type and a straight corrugated tube fitting? When should I use one?

A straight coupling connects two corrugated tube segments end-to-end to extend a cable run. The GT3-AD T-type provides one inlet and two outlets, allowing a single cable route to branch at any point without a junction box. It is the right choice when mobile or stationary equipment needs to split a cable run to multiple sensors, actuators, or control points while maintaining IP68 protection at the branch.

Q2|Does the IP68 seal hold when the corrugated tubes are under tension or being pulled?

Yes. The GT3-AD uses a specially designed seal that maintains the airtight interface between the fitting and each corrugated tube even when external tension is applied. This is the core advantage for dynamic mobile applications — the IP68 rating remains valid even as the tubes flex, stretch, or are pulled during equipment motion.

Q3|Must all three ports use the same corrugated tube size, or can they be mixed?

GT3-AD models are sized by port diameter, and standard versions use the same size across all three ports (equal-bore type). If your application requires different tube ODs across the ports, contact our sales team to discuss custom reducer T-type options — provide the OD requirements for each port to confirm feasibility.

Q4|Can the EPDM seal handle oil-contaminated environments?

EPDM provides basic resistance to mineral oils and grease, suitable for general industrial oil-exposure scenarios. If your environment involves strong solvents, hydraulic fluids, or specific industrial chemicals, please specify the exact media to our sales team. Alternative seal materials such as NBR or FKM may be more appropriate depending on the chemical compatibility requirements.

Q5|How do I select the correct GT3-AD size for my corrugated tube?

Selection is based on two criteria: ① The corrugated tube outer diameter (OD) must fall within the clamping range for each port, as shown in the engineering drawing (refer to the "d" dimension). ② The overall fitting dimensions must fit the available space inside the equipment. Provide your corrugated tube model or OD measurement to our sales team if you need sizing confirmation.
